The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the first three departments established in this University. The Department offers programs of study leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Master of Science (M.S.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). The undergraduate program is designed to provide basic mechanical engineering training upon which self-learning, further studies and engineering practice can be built. The program includes various courses covering basic subjects in thermal and fluid sciences, mechanics, machine design and production engineering supplemented by a wide range of specialized senior-year technical electives, and supported by well-equipped laboratories and workshop facilities.
