Mechatronics Engineering

Mechatronics Engineering program is run under the Mechanical Engineering department in conjunction with Electrical and Electronic Engineering department.  Both Mechanical and Electrical and Electronic Engineering programs are accredited by ABET. Program outcomes expected of all students receiving a BS degree from the Mechatronics  Engineering program are: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering principles, an ability to design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze and interpret data,  an ability to design a component, system or process to meet an objective, an ability to function on multidisciplinary teams, an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems, an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities, and global issues related to engineering, an ability to communicate effectively, the broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context  and a knowledge of contemporary issues.
