CMPE 106 - Fundamentals of Computing is an undergraduate course offered in Mechanical Engineering Department of Eastern Mediterranean University.

The course covers the main topics of computers and programming such as; Computers and information processing. Computer hardware and software. An overview of operating systems. General introduction to programming. Algorithms and flowcharts. FORTRAN language. Introduction to VISUAL BASIC Environment and programming  language.

The course is performed in computer laboratories of EMU as different sections related to fundamentals of computers and programming with FORTRAN and Visual Basic.
