Aybar,
after completing his BS study at Istanbul University in 1978 and
his MS study at Technical University of Istanbul in 1982,
received a Turkish government scholarship to study for PhD
degree in the USA. After completing his MS study at Ohio State
University in 1987, he worked as a research associate in the
Department of Chemistry at Ohio State University for one year.
He received his PhD degree in 1992 from the Department of
Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio State University, and he
started his career as a senior R & D engineer at the Turkish
Atomic Energy Authority in Ankara. In February 1995, he joined
the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Eastern
Mediterranean University as Assistant Professor, he became
Associate Professor in September 1995, and he became Professor
in 2004. He served as Vice Chair of the department from February
1995 to November 1997.
