Team EMU AGROBOTIX made a distinguished name for themselves with their achievement at the prestigious TEKNOFEST TRNC 2025 Finals competition.
Competing in the Research Project Competition under the Agriculture Category, they showcased their project titled "Hybrid Mobility AGROBOT for Smart Agriculture" - a cutting-edge solution developed to aid large-scale local farmers growing crops such as olives and citrus fruits in monitoring crop health and detecting plant diseases. The robot with rolling and flying capability combines AI-based plant diagnosis and geolocation capabilities, making it innovative for modern smart agriculture.
The team led by the Team Captain Osinachi Mbah (EMU Mechanical Engineering), with members including Abdulmalik Asmaeil Mansour Bileid (EMU Mechatronics Engineering), Murtada Mohamed Abdelbadie Mohamed (EMU Mechatronics Engineering), Muhammad Umar (EMU Software Engineering), Oussama El Salibi (EMU Electrical & Electronics Engineering), and Ayşegül Gazioğlu (EMU Mechanical Engineering) earned a commendable third-place award.
