Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Özdenefe appointed as the new chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, EMU.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat Özdenefe appointed as the new chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, EMU.  Dr. Özdenefe gained his BSc. from Mechanical Engineering Department, Çukurova University. Dr. Özdenefe then received his MSc. in Mechanical Engineering Department, EMU. He completed his PhD in School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering, The University of Manchester.  Dr. Özdenefe joined EMU in Sep 2015 and since then has taught 7 different courses in the programs and served in active roles as Chair of the ABET, Summer and Promotions Committees and member of the Graduate Committees of the department. He also served as the representatives of the Asst. Profs. in the Faculty of Engineering Council. Dr. Özdenefe is advisory board member of Energy Research Center at EMU. He is also a member of Chamber of Cyprus Turkish Mechanical Engineers, Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) UK, and registered in the Chartered Engineer section of the UK Engineering Council. Dr. Özdenefe established the Radiant Consulting Ltd. within the EMU Tekno Park, which serves as energy consulting firm particularly for built environment. Dr. Özdenefe’s research interests are: Building Heat Transfer, Building Thermal Performance Simulation, Phase Change Materials, Energy Auditing, Passive Buildings.
